Vacation is all about fun and for many people that leads them to San Francisco. There is so much to see and do in this area that it is no wonder it is considered the favorite city. There are cable cars that we are all familiar with and of course the Golden Gate Bridge that everyone needs to go across at least once! If you have ever wanted to visit Chinatown or North Beach it is all here. The downtown san francisco hotels like the Hotel Abri are also there to make your stay the best it can be. They offer special packages to help you save money as well as the many gifts that come with different packages from Starbucks gift cards to Gas cards. They are luxury hotels that are there to make you feel special as one of their guests and that is my favorite part of staying in a hotel.

There are things in life that are worth celebrating whether it be an accomplishment or an event. You know the times that you just want to say thank you to someone that makes a difference. To say thanks for everything it is so nice to send gift baskets. I received a gift basket after my family helped our new neighbor clear her property and plant grass. She just kept saying thank you over and over so we knew she really appreciated it. We were glad to help. You can imagine our surprise when we received a huge gift basket with something in it for everyone! She did not have to do that for us to know how much she appreciated it but it sure was fun to get the basket! Every since we send gift baskets to people that go the extra mile for us. People that just make a difference in our lives need to know and telling them with a gift basket is a lot of fun.

Italian Turkey Burger Recipe
Italian Turkey Burger with mozzarella, herbs and tomato.

1lb/500g ground turkey

1 clove garlic crushed
2 pinches dried oregano
4 pinches paprika powder
a little pepper, fresh ground is better
a little salt
1 hand fresh bread crumbs
1 egg lightly beaten
1 quarter chicken bouillon/stock cube dissolved in 2 to 3 tablespoons water

For on top of the Patties:
4 thickish slices of mozzarella cheese, to be placed on top of the patties when they are about 3/4 way done allowing the cheese to melt

For the Rolls:
4 rolls
4 thick slices tomato, pan fried in a little olive oil untill soft and left to cool

Mix all the patty ingredients thoroughly, leaving the salt for after the patties are cooked if you prefer.
Make sure the mixture is cool. Divide mixture into 4 equal balls and mold into patties how to mold patties).

Cook on medium heat under the grill, on the barbecue or in a pan until the patty is cooked through or the internal temp reaches 175F/80C.

Split the rolls and toast the cut surfaces lightly (under grill, on barbecue or in pan) just before the patties are done. Place the cooled fried tomato on the bottom half, add the patty with melted mozzarella and the other half of the roll.

The economy has left many people trying to save money where ever they can. This is truly a case where the doctor does not have the best interests of his patience in mind!

Curry Lamb Burger Recipe

Serves 4

For The Patties:
1lb/500g lamb/mutton coarsely ground

salt to taste

1 hand fresh bread crumbs

1 egg beaten

For the Curry
1 onion finely chopped

1 large clove garlic finely chopped

1 piece ginger (same size as the garlic) finely chopped

1 good dash cooking oil

2 heaped teaspoons garam masala

1 heaped teaspoon tumeric

2 pinches dried chili flakes or chili powder

1 pinch dried cumin

1/2 pinch dried aniseed

1/2 pinch cinnamon powder

1/2 dash soy sauce

1 teaspoon tomato puree

1 pinch sugar

For the Rolls:
4 fresh bread rolls, about the same size as the patties

sliced tomato

thinly sliced onion

sliced cucumber

lettuce

mayonnaise

In a sauce pan over low to medium heat sauté the onion, garlic, ginger, masala, tumeric and chili in the oil. Add a little water when the paste gets too thick to stir. When the onion is soft add all the other curry ingredients and stir until the sauce starts showing signs of boiling. Remove from the stove and allow to cool completely.

To the meat add a bit of salt and the curry paste and mix thoroughly.

Divide into 4 equal balls and press into patties.

Cook on medium heat under the grill, on the barbecue or in a pan (how to regulate cooking temperature) until cooked or the internal temp reaches 160F/70C .

Split the rolls and toast the cut surfaces lightly (under grill, on barbecue or in pan) just before the patties are done. Spread mayonnaise on the bottom half of the roll, add a thin slice of onion, some lettuce, sliced tomato and a little sliced cucumber. Add the patty and the top half of the roll. Enjoy your Curry Burger

When you consider that there are medications out there that hurt people with serious side effects there is no surprise that there are so many class action lawsuits. There is an acne medication that has been linked to ulcerative colitis, Crohn’s Disease, birth defects, suicidal thoughts and severe depression that is why you have been reading about an accutane class action lawsuit. I am so glad that people take charge when there is a medication on the market that is causing so many health issues. We have to do our research to protect ourselves whenever we are taking a new medication. Do not make the mistake that if it is prescribed and on the market it must be safe. This can be a costly mistake to your health. With the computer so available for so many there is a good source to check on medications online. You need to know how serious the side effects to your new medications are before you take them. After you take them and start experiencing health issues is can be too late and you could then be dealing with long term heath issues. Many people feel confident talking with their pharmacists about their medications which is always a good idea. If you have concerns or questions ask them after all we have to protect ourselves.
